I’m blogging this from the first day’s meeting of a group of teachers who have been brought togther by the county to produce some subject specific resources for GCSE for a new county wide VLE, which will be powered by moodle.
There’s a great atmosphere here, with loads of ideas being banded backwards and forwards, but one of the nicest things is hearing, repeatly, people telling other people not to worry about the technology, but to focus on the quality of the resources, because the county is bring in people to worry about that. It’s great to have teachers working on teaching, technical people working on the technical bit, and those of us with a foot in both camps happily suggesting ideas, safe in the knowledge it’s not going to be us having to worry about implimenting it!
I’ve also been introduced to Flipz.tv – which looks another great way of producing ‘talking heads’ for revision materials.
